Rule Administration

FWC staff in ISM oversee the process of promulgating manatee protection boat speed and access rules and administer activities related to these zones, including permit and variance reviews.

ISM staff oversees promulgation of manatee protection boat speed and access rules and administers activities related to these zones, including permit and variance reviews. Staff evaluates data and develops proposed rules for consideration by the Commission and also reviews and comments on local manatee protection ordinances developed by city and county governments.
